CHANSONS MOUILLÉES
Chansons Mouillées is a hybrid object at the crossroads of conference, concert, and performance, created and performed by Nina Santes.
Chansons Mouillées is the little sister of the collective creation Wet Songs (2025). Two titles, two languages, for the same artistic cycle whose processes respond to each other, exploring water as a driver of perceptual, intimate, and collective transformations.
Chansons Mouillées was born out of a desire to share the invisible part of creative processes, in a free and intimate form that could transform over time.
Chansons Mouillées is made up of material that was considered as waste at some point in a creative process. A kind of compost-conference-cabaret, led by my drag-clown alter-ego.
It is a place to share the ideas, movements, memories that were meant to sink down into an abyss. What happens when we resurrect, reuse, recycle them?
Between improvisation and composition, with lots of humour mixed with tears (probably my favourite combo), the performance revolves around intimate and direct speech, mixing memories, analogies and stories.
